I think they look quite awesome: And the fact that you can move between the cars is going to add quite the benefit (i.e. get away from creepy people easier).
TTC New Subway Train Background Information
* Over 200 subway cars are almost 30 years old and need to be replaced.
* The TTC is planning to buy 234 new subway cars, to make 39 trains.
* The first of these trains will start in passenger service in 2009.
* All 234 cars will be delivered before the end of 2011.
* These trains will run on the Yonge-University-Spadina line.
TTC Mock-Up Subway Train – Location and Viewing Schedule

The Mock-Up Subway Train will be available for viewing Monday to Friday, 11am to 3pm at the following stations (the Mock-Up will also be on display on Thursday* afternoon when located at Davisville Station.):
